Hello, Psodo: Private AI for Report Writing (Built for Busy Clinics) - Psodo
We’re Psodo - an early-stage team building an AI system to cut report time without shipping sensitive data offshore. Here’s who we are and what we’re making.
If you’ve ever stared at a blinking cursor at 9pm thinking “I swear I’ve already written this report three times today”, yeah - we get it.
Psodo exists to make clinical (and eventually broader medical) report writing faster, calmer, and more consistent — without forcing practices to gamble on privacy or send sensitive data to third-party AI services.
We’re early-stage, building in public, and starting where the pain is loudest: time-heavy reporting workflows in Australian healthcare.
What Psodo is (simply put)
Psodo is an AI report-writing system designed for practices that need strong privacy and predictable, customisable formatting. It’s an all in one workflow designed to aid from initial patient consults to shipping reports. The combination of our mobile scribe and desktop app are bound to save clinicians alot of time.
Secure by design
Instead of pushing private data into offshore tools, Psodo is built around a simple idea:
- Keep sensitive information in your environment
- Generate drafts from your own templates
- Reduce admin time without losing clinical control
Workflow, not “magic AI”
We’re not trying to replace clinical judgement. We’re trying to remove the repetitive parts that burn your week.
A typical flow looks like:
- Bring in notes or transcripts (either from our scribe or your own)
- Pick a report type / template your team already uses (or create a new custom one!)
- Generate a structured draft
- Edit, polish, export
Why we’re building this now
A lot of AI tools are genuinely impressive — but in healthcare, the question isn’t just “does it work?” It’s “does it work without creating a compliance and trust nightmare?”
We’re building Psodo around the constraints real practices actually have:
- privacy expectations from clients
- local data handling requirements
- consistent, practice-specific formatting
- the reality that “just copy/paste into ChatGPT” isn’t a sustainable workflow
What we’re focusing on first
Because we’re early, we’re being ruthless about what matters.
1) Templates that match how your practice writes
Different practices = different headings, phrasing, and report structures. Psodo is designed to adapt to your format, not force you into ours.
2) A draft you can actually use
Not a wall of text. A draft that’s:
- sectioned properly
- readable
- easy to tweak
- aligned to the purpose of the report
3) Practical privacy and control
Psodo is being built with data sovereignty and clinical control as first-class requirements — not “we’ll add security later”.
What’s next
Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing progress on:
- pilot learnings (what saves time vs what doesn’t)
- how we think about privacy for real-world clinics
- template design patterns (what makes reports consistent and faster to produce)
- product updates as Psodo evolves beyond psychology into broader medical reporting
